Shayne finished the 2007 season connecting on 31 of 34 field goals and
making all 37 of his extra point attempts. The 31 field goals
established a new Bengal record. He finished the 2007.season with 130
points, second in Bengal history to Shayne's 131-point campaign in
2005..
After the 2007 Shayne served as a NFL playoff analyst for ESPN Radio and
Sporting News Radio.
Shayne is a board member of the "Kicks for Kids" foundation, started by former Bengals kicker Doug Pelfrey and has raised
over $200,000 this year for "at risk" children in the Cincinnati metro area. Shayne hosted the "taste of the NFL" event
for the Free Store Food Bank and raised a record setting $170,000. More than any other NFL city event.
Shayne also Helped "kick-off" the rubber duck regatta on top of purple people bridge, and is the spokesmen for
St. Vincent DePaul Community outreach programs
Shayne donated $300 for each
of his field goals in 2007 to Cincinnati's FreeStore/FoodBank, and extended that program to also cover field
goals made by the Cincinnati Marshals indoor team. Shayne built a partnership with the Cincinnatian Hotel
to give deserving children a chance to eat with him at the hotel's gourmet restaurant. Shayne has also
worked with the Cincinnati V.A. Hospital, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the IHOP Read Across America program.
